Thora was born on December 8th, 1905. Thora's father was William Thomas Bennett and her mother was Elizabeth Jane Silby. Her paternal grandparents were Cap John Bennett and Jane Roberts. She had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Jonathan, Benjamin, Clifton, Carl, William, Mary, Jettie, Ellis and Emma. She was the second youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 86 on July 10th, 1992.
