Grace was born in 1916. Grace's father was John Bennett and her mother was Hilda Johanna Olsen. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Bennett and Martha Magdalene Fuhrmaster. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Robert, James, Mabel and Magdalen. She was the oldest of the six children. She died before 2015.
