Jane was born on March 24th, 1877 in Washington.¹ Jane's father was Samuel Bennett and her mother was Martha Magdalene Fuhrmaster. Her paternal grandparents were Cap John Bennett and Jane Roberts. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel, John, Joseph, Mary, Martha, Josephine, Ida, Leah, Rachel and Artie. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 1 on February 19th, 1879 in Washington.¹
