Jessie, known as Jess, was born on September 17th, 1910 in Tranmere.1  Jess' father was John Mather and her mother was Sarah Stocks.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph (Joe) Mather and Ellen Tomlinson; her maternal grandparents were Albert Stocks and Jane Smith. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joe, Ab, Jack, Wal, Nellie, No and Lean.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.  She died due to natural causes or old age, Cerebrovascular diesease, at the age of 89 on November 8th, 1999 in Bebington.  The funeral took place on November 11th, 1999 at the Bebington Cemetery and was arranged by Coop Funeral Services.  She was buried on November 11th, 1999 at the Bebington Cemetery.2 3 2
