    • Job Stocks died 3rd March 1879 at Berry Brow, Almondbury, aged 75 years.   Susannah Horfall,  of Berry Brow (a neighbour), daughter of Job Stocks was present at his death.
Job was born on August 23rd, 1803 in Berry Brow and his baptism took place on September 23rd, 1803 in High St. Chapel Methodist New Connexion.1 2  Job's father was George Stocks and his mother was Mary Blackburn.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Perkin; his maternal grandparents were Michael Blackburn and Hannah Scover. He had two brothers and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Benjamin, Michael, Betty, Esther, Susannah, Esther, Ruth, Ruth and <child>.  He was the second youngest of the ten children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Chronic Bronchitis, at the age of 75 on March 3rd, 1879 in Berry Brow.  He was buried on March 6th, 1879 at St. Paul's (Armitage Bridge).3 4

‌Job and Lucy were married in a religious ceremony on May 29th, 1823 in Almondbury by H Hughes and witnessed by Joshua Gledhill & J Heaton.9  They had a biological son and three biological daughters, named George, Susannah, Ruth and Martha.  They also had an adopted daughter named Jane.  There are no more children.



Job's second family with Lydia Brook

‌Job and Lydia were in a short term or casual relationship at one time.  They had two sons named Henry and Samuel.
