Esther Stocks

Esther was born in 1788 in Berry Brow and her christening took place on April 20th, 1788 in Longwood.¹

Birth Notes

Esther's father was George Stocks and her mother was Mary Blackburn. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Perkin; her maternal grandparents were Michael Blackburn and Hannah Scover. She had three brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Benjamin, Michael, Job, Betty, Susannah, Esther, Ruth, Ruth and <child>. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died due to a childhood disease at the age of 3 in January 1791 in Berry Brow. She was buried on January 20th, 1791 in Almondbury.²
