    • On Friday last, Mrs. Pickles, of Marley, near Bingley, died of her injuries she received be falling onto the fire in the absence of her husband and daughter: the former was attending a funeral at the time, and the latter had gone to a neighbouring farm house for milk.  Something was baking in the oven, and the poor woman, who had been rendered infirm by a paralytic stroke, was endeavouring to attend it, when she fell onto the fire, and was so seriously injured as to occasion her death.  An inquest has been held, and a verdict of "Accidently Burnt" returned.
