Betty Holte from Harwood, bap. 1752 is too early, as would be 10y younger than William, and too old to have son Holt Mather.

Marriage/Union Notes
William Mather, weaver and Betty Holt, Spinster.
Married by J Folds in the presence of John Knowles and Jn'o Wells
(see attached image)
Other than this marriage, there was only one other William Mather who married Elizabeth Brown (recorded as Manchester) between 1775 and 1795, so the parents of Alice and William (different locations) are probably the same couple.

They had four sons and a daughter, and also a child of unknown gender, named

Family Notes
Dont confuse with William Mather and Betty Beswich, married in Blackburn in 1797, and living in Pole Lane, Turton.
Baptism records missing, from 3-Oct-1794 to Oct-1815 for the Walmsley Meeting House, so there may be more children, including Holt Mather.
