Baptised Westhoughton, some way south-west of Bolton, but not the same William who was baprised at Worsley and married Martha Tildsey. Originly I had these two Williams confused, as both appear to be from Weaver families!
By process of elimination of the other William Mather marriages in Bolton, this William probably married Martha Bleakley in 1825.
There's a William and Martha Mather in Ashton under Lyne in 1841. They have no children, but are of the correct age, so could be them. The only other William and Martha found in 1841 in Bolton are the family from Little Hulton.
Westhoughton is close to Lostock where Williams Grandmother, Elizabeth Howarth was from.
