    • A James Mather Cash receipt for £2-2-0 for a grave no. 7-29 is recorded in 20-Oct-1811 in the Register of Burials at Bridge Street Wesleyan Chapel at Little Bolton in the parish of Bolton Le Moors, Lancashire from 1810 to 1837
James was born on September 28th, 1761 in Turton and his baptism took place on November 2nd, 1761 at Bank Street Unitarian conducted by Reverend Philip Holland.1 2  James' father was Richard Mather and his mother was Ann Howarth.  His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ellen Blinstone; his maternal grandparents were Edmund Howarth and Anne. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Isaac, Solomon, Richard, Susannah, Susan, Nancy, Ann and Alice.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 50 in October 1811 in Little Bolton.  He was buried on October 20th, 1811 in Bridge Street Chapel (Methodist).3 4
