1841 census has a "N" (i.e. Not of this parish), so not Warrington, Lancashire. This may be an error, as she is from this parish when baptised and getting married to Richard Tomlinson. The census is probably correct, as she is with daughter Ellen Wilkinson (aged 42), and grandson James (aged 15). Therefore, possibly from across the River Mersey in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Alice's father was
John Allen and her mother was
Ellen Welsby. She had a brother named
Joseph. She was the older of the two known children. She had a half-sister named
Mary. She died after April 1841 in
Warrington.
