Mary was born in November 1788 at Colne and her baptism took place on December 25th, 1788 at St. Bartholomew's (Colne).¹²

  The 1841 clearly shows Mary born in Lancashire, whilst husband Thomas was born in Yorkshire.

Mary's father was James Roberts and her mother was Lucy Coulthurst. Her paternal grandparents were James Roberts and <unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Henry Colthurst and Mary Midgley. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Henry, Henry, Will, Betty, Eleanor, Margaret and Ellen. She died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Accidently Burnt, at the age of 56 on January 30th, 1845 in Marlow (aka Marley). Her burial was on February 3rd, 1845 at All Saints (Bingley).³⁴

  Mary was baptised with brother James on Christmas Day 1788 at St. Bartholomew, Colne.
  
  Living with husband and family in 1841.
  
  Mary (aged 70) lodging with Brother-in-Law John Pickles (b.1775) in Keighley in 1851.
  
  Mary had a stroke and was partly paralysed. She suffered a fatal accident whilst her husband and daughter were out of the house. She fell on the fire while cooking and died of her injuries.
