Betty was born in June 1779 at Colne and her baptism took place on June 20th, 1779 at St. Bartholomew's (Colne).1  Betty's father was James Roberts and her mother was Lucy Coulthurst.  Her paternal grandparents were James Roberts and <unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Henry Colthurst and Mary Midgley. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Henry, Henry, Will, Eleanor, Mary, Margaret and Ellen.  She died as an infant at 1 months old in July 1779 at Colne.  She was buried on July 11th, 1779 at St. Bartholomew's (Colne).2 2
