Ellen's father was James Roberts and her mother was Lucy Coulthurst.  Her paternal grandparents were James Roberts and <unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Henry Colthurst and Mary Midgley. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Henry, Henry, Will, Betty, Eleanor, Mary and Margaret.  Ellen and Henry were twins.  She died due to a medical problem, Fits, at the age of 1 on October 2nd, 1797 at Colne.  She was buried at St. Bartholomew's (Colne).^1 1
