Jane was born on September 19th, 1753 in Westmorland and her baptism took place on December 18th, 1793 in Preston-Patrick conducted by Curate Joseph Thexton.1 2  Jane's father was John Grimshaw and her mother was Sarah Sill.  Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Grimshaw and Jane Oddy; her maternal grandparents were Richard Sill and Isabel Atkinson. She had two sisters named Bella and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 71 in September 1824 in Bradford.  She was buried on September 26th, 1824 in Bradford.3 3
