Sarah was born on December 3rd, 1724 in Preston-Patrick.1  Sarah's father was Richard Sill and her mother was Isabel Atkinson.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Sill and Margaret Atkinson; her maternal grandparents were David Atkinson and Sarah Wilkinson. She had three brothers and a sister, named Edward, Richard, David and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 62 on January 13th, 1787 in Preston-Richard.  She was buried on January 15th, 1787 in Preston-Patrick.1 2

‌Sarah and John were married in a religious ceremony on May 4th, 1752 in Westmorland.3   They had three daughters named Jane, Bella and Sarah.  There are no more children.
