Sarah's father was Richard Sill and her mother was Isabel Atkinson. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Sill and Margaret Atkinson; her maternal grandparents were David Atkinson and Sarah Wilkinson. She had three brothers and a sister, named Edward, Richard, David and Margaret. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 62 on January 13th, 1787 in Preston-Richard. Her burial was on January 15th, 1787 in Preston-Patrick.¹²
