Isabel's father was David Atkinson and her mother was Sarah Wilkinson. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Atkinson and Agnes Storey; her maternal grandparents were John Wilkinson and Dorothy Wilkinson. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Robert, Rachel, Sarah, Dorothy, Hannah, Margaret, Agnes and Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 68 in January 1759 in Preston. Her burial was on January 9th, 1759 in Preston.²
