General Notes
Anothe website has Isabel Collier, married the same year, but this is probably an error. There is a marriage for them 14 years earlier, in 1588.
Dorothe and Edward were married in a religious ceremony on August 17th, 1602 in Rawden.1
Marriage/Union Notes
The Book, "A History of Rawdon", records Edward's spouse as Isabel Collier, married in 1602, but this appears to be unsupported. Another website appears to have some more detailed information: Edward Grimshaw was born some time in the 16th century and was married 17th August 1602 to Dorytye Raner (Dorothy). A son Abraham was born soon afterwards, baptised 5 July 1603. Edward himself in 1620 tenanted a messuage which in the same year was sold by Francis Rawdon to Abraham Bates of Yeadon. The Deed of 1620 was deposited at the Leeds Archeological Society among other documents of Miss Barwick of Rawdon, a member of the Marshall family. This messuage is probably Ivy House which was still standing in 1977. It became a Quaker Meeting house and the original four room dwelling was enlarged in 659 after the Civil War
