    Headstone included the text: "Also of the above Isabella Smith, who departed this Life May 7th 1833 aged 77 "

• General Notes
  • There are three entries in the Preston Patrick Church for 30 Aug 1795 for John Son of Jane Grimshaw, Bella Grimshaw,  and Jenney daughter of Henry & Jane Hudson born June 23rd baptiz'd August 30th. Clearly a family, all from Crooklands and John and Bella are shown as adults. This is most likely Isabella and her father being baptised as CoE in 1795.  However, Isabella was also baptised on her wedding day a few years earlier - perhaps she forgot or hadn't realised in her excitment!
    
    Isabella Smith ran the White Horse in Bingley (until her son John took it over).
