Father William of Dungeon, Clothier. This must be right as Daniel Crosland's father Jonathan and uncle Joseph were also from Dungeon (near Butternab). Joseph son of William baptised the same year must be another family.
The 1841 census has a Mary Crossland, Shopkeeper in Tong. Could this be her?
In 1851, Mary is still alive in Blase Hill, Huddersfield (where she later died). She has her two nieces Elizabeth (49) and Sarah (45) Crosland with her, with a two servants: cook and housemaid.
Mary and Daniel were married in a religious ceremony on December 7th, 1794 in Almondbury by W'm Hampton and witnessed by John Heaton & John Farner.3
