John, known as "Lackland", was born on December 24th, 1167 in Beaumont Palace, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.  "Lackland"'s father was King Henry Curtmantle FitzEmpress ("Plantagenet") Plantagenet II of England and his mother was Princess Eleanor of Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Count Geoffrey ("the Fair", "le bon") Plantagenet IV or V of Anjou and Princess Adelaide (Lady of the English) of England; his maternal grandparents were William X of Aquitaine and Eleanor de Rochefoucauld Chatellerault. He had three sisters named Matilda, Eleanor and Joanna. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William, Alix, Agnes and Mary.  He died at the age of 48 on October 18th, 1216 in Newark Castle, Nottinghamshire, England.  He was buried in Worcester Cathedral, Worcestershire, England.

‌"Lackland" and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony on August 24th, 1200 in Bordeaux Cathedral, Gascony.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Henry, Richard, Joan and Eleanor.

‌"Lackland" and Agatha were married in a religious ceremony.  They had a daughter named Joan.


"Lackland"'s third family with Suzanne Plantagenet de Warenne

‌"Lackland" and Suzanne Plantagenet were married in a religious ceremony.  They had a son named Richard.
