Robert was born in 1011 in France.  Robert's father was King Robert ("the Pious") Capet II and his mother was Constance de Toulouse.  His paternal grandparents were King Hugh Capet of France and Adela of Aquitaine; his maternal grandfather was William Taillefer III and his maternal grandmother is Arsinde de Anjou. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Henry, "the Old", Adelaide Havoise, Constance, Adelaide and Hadewide.  He died at the age of 65 on March 21st, 1076 in Fleury-Sur-Ouche, France.  He was buried in Abbaye De St Seine, Sâemur, Bourgogne.


Robert's first family with Helie de-Semur-en-Brionnais

‌Robert and Helie were married in a religious ceremony about 1033 in France.  They had a son and a daughter, named Henry and Constance.


Robert's second family with Countess Ermengarde d'Anjou

They had a daughter named Hildegard.
