Ealhswith was born about 0852 in Mercia, England.  Ealhswith's father was Ethelred ("Mucil") Eald of the Gaini and her mother is Eadburh Fadburn of the Royal House of Mercia.  Her paternal grandfather is Mucelsson; her maternal grandfather was King Wigmund of Mercia and her maternal grandmother is Princess Elfleda of Mercia.  She was an only child.  She died on December 5th, 0905 in St. Mary's Abbey, Winchester, Dorset, England.


Ealhswith's family with King Alfred ("the Great") of Wessex

‌Ealhswith and "the Great" were married in a religious ceremony in 0868.  They had three sons and two daughters, named "the Elder", Athelstan, Edward, Ethelfleda and Ethelswida.
