Hugh was born in 0939 in Paris, Isle de France, France.  Hugh's father was Hugh ("the Great") Capet of Neustria and his mother was Edhilda.  His paternal grandparents were King Robert I of France and Queen Beatrice de Vermandois; his maternal grandparents were King Edward ("the Elder") d'Angleterre I of England and Aelflaeda de Bernicie. He had three half-sisters named Beatrix, Beatrix and Beatrix.  He died at the age of 57 on August 24th, 0996 in Paris, Isle de France, France.  He was buried in Abbaye De St Denis, St Denis, France.


Hugh's family with Adela of Aquitaine

‌Hugh and Adela were married in a religious ceremony in 0968.  They had two sons and two daughters, named "the Pious", Renaud Borel, Gisella and Hedewige.
