Robert, known as "the Pious", was born on March 27th, 0972 in Orleans, France.  "the Pious"'s father was King Hugh Capet of France and his mother was Adela of Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh ("the Great") Capet of Neustria and Edhilda; his maternal grandparents were Duke William I or III of Aquitaine and Adele of Normandy. He had a brother and two sisters, named Renaud Borel, Gisella and Hedewige.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 59 on July 20th, 1031 in Melun, Isle De France, France.  He was buried in Saint Denis, Isle De France, France.


"the Pious"'s family with Constance de Toulouse

‌"the Pious" and Constance were married in a religious ceremony in 1000 in France.  They had three sons and four daughters, named Henry, "the Old", Robert, Adelaide Havoise, Constance, Adelaide and Hadewide.
