Eleanor was born on October 13th, 1162 in Domfront, Normandy, France.  Eleanor's father was King Henry Curtmantle FitzEmpress ("Plantagenet") Plantagenet II of England and her mother was Princess Eleanor of Aquitaine.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Geoffrey ("the Fair", "le bon") Plantagenet IV or V of Anjou and Princess Adelaide (Lady of the English) of England; her maternal grandparents were William X of Aquitaine and Eleanor de Rochefoucauld Chatellerault. She had a brother and two sisters, named "Lackland", Matilda and Joanna. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William, Alix, Agnes and Mary.  She died at the age of 52 on October 31st, 1214 in Las Huelgas, Burgos, Burgos, Spain.  She was buried in Monasterio De Las Huelgas, Burgos, Spain.

‌Eleanor and "the Noble" were married in a religious ceremony on September 22nd, 1177 in Burgos, Burgos, Spain.  They had three daughters named Urraca, Blanche and Berengaria.
