Blanche was born before March 4th, 1188 in Chãateau De Palencia, Valencia, Valencia, Almohadi.  Blanche's father was King Alfonso ("the Noble") VIII of Castile and her mother was Princess Eleanor Plantagenet.  Her paternal grandparents were King Sancho ("the Desired") III of Castile and Princess Blanche of Navarre; her maternal grandparents were King Henry Curtmantle FitzEmpress ("Plantagenet") Plantagenet II of England and Princess Eleanor of Aquitaine. She had two sisters named Urraca and Berengaria.  She died on November 27th, 1252 in Palais Du Louvre, Paris, France.  She was buried in Abbaye De Maubuisson, Maubuisson, France.

‌Blanche and "the Lion" were married in a religious ceremony on May 23rd, 1200 in Pont Audemer, Normandie.  They had three sons named Louis, Robert and Charles.
