William, known as "the Conqueror", was born on October 14th, 1028 in Falaise, Normandy, France.  "the Conqueror"'s father was Count Robert ("the Devil", "the Magnificent") II of Normandy and his mother was Herleva de Falaise.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Richard ("the Good") de Normandy II and Princess Judith of Brittany; his maternal grandparents were Chamberlain Rollo Fulbert de Falaise and Duxia de Falaise. He had a brother and three sisters, named Ralph, Adâelaèide, Godiva and Felicia. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Odo, Robert, Muriel and Emma.  He died at the age of 58 on September 9th, 1087 in Hermenbraville, Rouen, Normandie.  He was buried in Abbaye De St Etienne, Caen, Normandie.

‌"the Conqueror" and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony in 1053 in Castle Of, Angi, Normandy, France.  They had a son and three daughters, named "Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar", Gundred, Magdalene and Adela.
