Henry, known as "the Fowler", was born about 0876 in Saxony, Germany.  "the Fowler"'s father was Duke Otto ("le Grand", "the Illustrious) von Erlauchten of Saxony and his mother was Princess Hedwige of the Holy Roman Empire.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Liudolf ("the Great") of Saxony and Oda of Saxony; his maternal grandparents were Emperor Arnulf of the Holy Roman Empire and Oda of Bavaria. He had a brother and four sisters, named Liudolf, Uda, Ode, Ita and Luitgard.  He died on June 2nd, 0936 in Membleben, Saxony, Germany.


"the Fowler"'s family with Saint Matilda of Ringelheim

‌"the Fowler" and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony in 0909.  They had two sons and four daughters, named "the Great", "the Quarrelsome", Oda, Hedwige, Gerberga and Gerberge Auceps.
