Gerberge Auceps was born in Nordhausen, Saxony, Prussia.  Gerberge Auceps' father was Emperor Henry ("the Fowler") I and her mother was Saint Matilda of Ringelheim.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Otto ("le Grand", "the Illustrious) von Erlauchten of Saxony and Princess Hedwige of the Holy Roman Empire; her maternal grandparents were Count Theodoric von Ringelheim and Reginhild von Friesland. She had two brothers and three sisters, named "the Great", "the Quarrelsome", Oda, Hedwige and Gerberga.  She died on May 5th, 0984 in Reims, Champagne.  She was buried in Reims, Champagne.


Gerberge Auceps' first family with King Louis ("Transmarinus", "d'Outre-Mer") IV of France

‌Gerberge Auceps and "Transmarinus", "d'Outre-Mer" were married in a religious ceremony on April 25th, 0954.  They had a son and a daughter, named Charles and Mathilde.


Gerberge Auceps' second family with Duke Gilbert of Lorraine

‌Gerberge Auceps and Gilbert were married in a religious ceremony on January 29th, 1044.  They had four daughters named Gerberge, Alberada, Alberade and Gerberge.
