Hedwige was born in 0855 in Saxony, Germany.  Hedwige's father was Emperor Arnulf of the Holy Roman Empire and her mother was Oda of Bavaria.  Her paternal grandfather was King Carloman of Italy & Bavaria and her paternal grandmother is Litwinde of Carinthia; her maternal grandparents are Count Theodore of Bavaria and Helingarde of Bavaria. She had a brother named Ratold.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 51 in 0906.


Hedwige's family with Duke Otto ("le Grand", "the Illustrious) von Erlauchten of Saxony

‌Hedwige and "le Grand", "the Illustrious were married in a religious ceremony.  They had two sons and four daughters, named "the Fowler", Liudolf, Uda, Ode, Ita and Luitgard.
