Louis, known as "Transmarinus", "d'Outre-Mer", was born on September 10th, 0921 in Laon, Champagne.  "Transmarinus", "d'Outre-Mer"'s father was King Charles ("the Simple") III of France and his mother was Princess Edgifu of Wessex.  His paternal grandparents were King Louis Eliganius ("the Stammerer") II of France and Adelaide Judith; his maternal grandparents were King Edward ("the Elder") d'Angleterre I of England and Aelflaeda de Bernicie. He had a brother and a sister, named Charles and Gisela. He had a half-sister named Ermentrude Alpaïs.  He died at the age of 33 on September 10th, 0954 in Abbaye De St. Râemy, Reims, Champagne.  He was buried in Abbaye De St. Râemy, Reims, Champagne.


"Transmarinus", "d'Outre-Mer"'s family with Princess Gerberge Auceps von Sachsen of the Germans

‌"Transmarinus", "d'Outre-Mer" and Gerberge Auceps were married in a religious ceremony on April 25th, 0954.  They had a son and a daughter, named Charles and Mathilde.
