His paternal grandfather was King Eystein ("Fret") Halfdansson and his paternal grandmother is Hild Ericsdottir; his maternal grandfather was King Warnechin of Saxony & Engern and his maternal grandmother is Kunhilde von Rugen. He was an only child. He died at the age of 35 in 0810 in Walcheren.-
