Uracca was born in 1081 in Burgos, Castile.  Uracca's father was Emperor Alfonso ("the Valiant") Ferdinandez VI of Castile and her mother is Princess Constance of Burgundy.  Her paternal grandparents were King Ferdinand ("the Great") Sanchez de Leon I of Castile and Princess Sancha of Castile-Leon; her maternal grandparents were Prince Robert Capet I and Helie de-Semur-en-Brionnais. She had a half-sister named Teresa.  She died at the age of 45 on March 8th, 1126 in Saldana, Palencia, Spain.


Uracca's family with Count Raymond of Burgundy & Castile

‌Uracca and Raymond were married in a religious ceremony in 1087 in Toledo, Toledo, Spain.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Alfonso, "the Emperor", "Pierre-Raimund" and Sancha.
