Matilda, known as "Atheling", was born in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.  "Atheling"'s father was King Malcom III ("Ceanmor", "Longneck", "Bighead") of Scotland and her mother was Princess Margaret ("the Exile", "Atheling") of Wessex.  Her paternal grandparents were King Duncan ("the Gracious") I of Scotland or Strathclyde and Aelflaed Sybilla FitzSwiward of Northumbria; her maternal grandparents were Prince Edward ("the Outlaw", "Atheling") of England and Princess Agatha von Brunswick. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Ethelred, Aethelred, David, "the Fierce", Mary and Thora. She had two half-brothers named Duncan and Heth Aethelred.  She died on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster, Middlesex, England.  She was buried in June 1118 in Church of St Peter, Westminster, Middlesex, England.


"Atheling"'s family with King Henry ("Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar") Plantagenet I of England

‌"Atheling" and "Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar" were married in a religious ceremony on October 11th, 1100 in Westminster Abbey, London, Middlesex, England.  They had two daughters named Lady of the English and "The Empress".
