Agatha was born about 1018 in Braunschweig, Prussia.  Agatha's father was Count Ludwig von Braunschweig of Derlingau and her mother was Gertrude von Egisheim.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Brunon von Braunschweig II of Derlingau and Giselle von Swabia; her maternal grandparents were Count Hugo VI (IV) of Egisheim and Princess Heilwig von Dagsburg. She had a brother and two sisters, named Eckbert, Ida and Ida.  She died on July 13th, 1024.


Agatha's family with Prince Edward ("the Outlaw", "Atheling") of England

‌Agatha and "the Outlaw", "Atheling" were married in a religious ceremony about 1035 in London, Middlesex, England.  They had a son and a daughter, named The Atheling and "the Exile", "Atheling".
