Margaret, known as "the Exile", "Atheling", was born in Wessex, England.  "the Exile", "Atheling"'s father was Prince Edward ("the Outlaw", "Atheling") of England and her mother was Princess Agatha von Brunswick.  Her paternal grandfather was King Edmund ("Ironside") II of the English and her paternal grandmother is Ealdgyth; her maternal grandparents were Count Ludwig von Braunschweig of Derlingau and Gertrude von Egisheim. She had a brother named The Atheling.  She died on November 16th, 1093 in Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh, Mid-Lothian, Scotland.  She was buried in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.
