Edmund, known as "the Elder", "the Magnificent", was born in 0921 in Wessex, England.  "the Elder", "the Magnificent"'s father was King Edward ("the Elder") d'Angleterre I of England and his mother was Lady Eadgifu of Kent.  His paternal grandparents were King Alfred ("the Great") of Wessex and Queen Ealhswith of the Gaini; his maternal grandfather was Earl Sigehelm of Kent. He had a sister named Thyra. He had five half-sisters named Edith, Hedwige, Eadgyth, Edgifu and Edhilda.  He died  due to murderd at the age of 25 on May 26th, 0946 in Pucklechurch.  He was buried in Glastonbury Abbey.

‌"the Elder", "the Magnificent" and Aelfgifu were married in a religious ceremony in 0940.  They had a son named "the Peaceful".
