Edmund, known as "Ironside", was born in 0989 in Wessex, England.  "Ironside"'s father was King Aethelred ("the Unready" (without counsel)) II of the English and his mother was Elfreda.  His paternal grandparents were King Edgar ("the Peaceful") of the English and Aelfthryth; his maternal grandparents are Thored Gunnarsson of North Umbria and Hilda. He had a brother and two sisters, named of England, of England and Aelgifu. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Ingelric, Godgifu Goda, Adgina, Godgifu and Ealdgyth.  He died  due to murdered? at the age of 27 on November 30th, 1016 in London, Middlesex, England.  He was buried in Glastonbury, Somersetshire, England.


"Ironside"'s family with Ealdgyth

‌"Ironside" and Ealdgyth were married in a religious ceremony in August 1015 in London, Middlesex, England.  They had a son named "the Outlaw", "Atheling".
