Heth Aethelred was born about 1062 in Morayshire, Scotland.  Heth Aethelred's father was King Malcom III ("Ceanmor", "Longneck", "Bighead") of Scotland and his mother was Queen Ingeborg Finnsdatter of Holland.  His paternal grandparents were King Duncan ("the Gracious") I of Scotland or Strathclyde and Aelflaed Sybilla FitzSwiward of Northumbria; his maternal grandparents are Finn Arnesson and Thorbiorg Bergliot of Norway. He had a brother named Duncan. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Ethelred, Aethelred, David, "the Fierce", Paul, Bardolph, Mary, "Atheling" and Thora.  He died after 1115 in Methil, Fifshire, Scotland.
