Vladimir, known as "the Great", was born in Kiev, Ukraine.  "the Great"'s father was Svyatoslav Suitislaus I and his mother is Malusha of Lubech.  His paternal grandparents were Prince Igor I of Kiev and Grand Duchess Olga of Kiev; his maternal grandfather is Prince Malk of the Drevianes.  He was an only child.  He died on July 15th, 1015 in Berestovo, Kiev, Ukraine.  He was buried in Church Of The Tithes, Kiev, Kiev, Ukraine.

‌"the Great" and Rogneda were married in a religious ceremony about 0977 in Polotsk, Polotsk, Byelorussia.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Iszyaslav, "the Wise" and Primislava.
