Yaroslav, known as "the Wise", was born in Kiev, Ukraine.  "the Wise"'s father was Prince Vladimir ("the Great") I of Kiev and his mother was Princess Rogneda von Polotzk.  His paternal grandfather was Svyatoslav Suitislaus I and his paternal grandmother is Malusha of Lubech; his maternal grandfather was Count Rognwald von Polotzk. He had a brother and a sister, named Iszyaslav and Primislava. He had a half-sister named Dobronega Mariya.  He died on February 20th, 1054 in Kiev, Ukraine.  He was buried in 1054 in Russia.


"the Wise"'s family with Princess Ingrid Olafsdottir

‌"the Wise" and Ingrid were married in a religious ceremony in Uppsala, Sweden.  They had four sons and three daughters, named Vladimir, Izyaslav Dmitrij, Svyatopolk, Vsevolod, Elizaveta, Anastasiya Agmunda and Anna Agnesa.
