Anna Agnesa was born in 1036 in Kiev, Ukraine.  Anna Agnesa's father was Grand Prince Yaroslav ("the Wise") Wladimirowwitsch I and her mother was Princess Ingrid Olafsdottir.  Her paternal grandparents were Prince Vladimir ("the Great") I of Kiev and Princess Rogneda von Polotzk; her maternal grandfather was King Olaf ("Skotkonung") Eriksson III of Sweden and her maternal grandmother is Princess Astrid of the Obotrites. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Vladimir, Izyaslav Dmitrij, Svyatopolk, Vsevolod, Elizaveta and Anastasiya Agmunda.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died in France.  She was buried in Abbaye De Villiers, La-Ferte-Alais, France.

‌Anna Agnesa and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on May 19th, 1051 in France.  They had three sons named "the Fair", Hugh Magnus and "the Great", "le Grand".
