Sancho, known as "the Desired", was born in 1134 in Toledo, Castile.  "the Desired"'s father was King Alfonso ("the Emperor", "Pierre-Raimund") Raimundez VII and his mother was Berenguela Berengar of Barcelona.  His paternal grandparents were Count Raymond of Burgundy & Castile and Queen Uracca Alfonsez of Castile and Leon; his maternal grandparents were Count Raymond ("the Great") III of Barcelona and Dulce Aldonza Milhaud. He had a brother and two sisters, named Ferdinand, Constance and Sancha. He had a half-sister named Sancha.  He died at the age of 24 on August 31st, 1158 in Toledo, Castile.


"the Desired"'s family with Princess Blanche of Navarre

‌"the Desired" and Blanche were married in a religious ceremony on January 30th, 1151 in Catahorra, Logrono, Spain.  They had a son named "the Noble".
