Sancha was born in Toledo, Castile.  Sancha's father was King Alfonso ("the Emperor", "Pierre-Raimund") Raimundez VII and her mother was Princess Richeza of Poland.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Raymond of Burgundy & Castile and Queen Uracca Alfonsez of Castile and Leon; her maternal grandparents were King Wladyslaw ("the Exile") II of Poland and Princess Agnes of Austria. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named "the Desired", Ferdinand, Constance and Sancha.  She died on November 9th, 1208 in Monasterio De Jaen, Jaen, Jaen, Spain.

‌Sancha and "the Chaste" were married in a religious ceremony in Zaragoza, Zaragoza, Spain.  They had two sons named Alfonso and "the Catholic".
