Ida was born about 1060 in Cham, Oberpfalz, Bavaria.  Ida's father was Count Ratpoto IV of Cham and her mother is Countess Mathilde of Kastl.  Her paternal grandfather was Count Diepold I of Traungau and her paternal grandmother is von Schweinfurt; her maternal grandparents were Count Hermann I of Kastl and Countess Haziga von Diessen.  She was an only child.  She died after 1101.


Ida's family with Margrave Leopald ("the Fair") II of Austria

‌Ida and "the Fair" were married in a religious ceremony about 1065 in Cham, Oberpfalz, Bavaria.  They had a son and two daughters, named "the Saint", Adelheid and Elizabeth.
