Casimir I, known as "the Restorer", was born on July 25th, 1016 in Krakâow, Krakâow, Poland.  "the Restorer"'s father was King Mieszko Lambert II and his mother was Richeza of Palatine.  His paternal grandfather was King Boleslaw I and his paternal grandmother is Judith of Hungary; his maternal grandparents were Count Palatine Ezzo of Lorraine and Princess Matilda of Saxony. He had three sisters named Rixa, Richza and Gertrude.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 42 on November 28th, 1058.


"the Restorer"'s family with Princess Dobronega Mariya Vladimirovna of Kiev

‌"the Restorer" and Dobronega Mariya were married in a religious ceremony about 1039.  They had a son and a daughter, named Wladyslaw and Swietoslawa.
