Eleanor was born in 1215 in Gloucester, England.  Eleanor's father was King John ("Lackland") I of England and her mother was Queen Isabella Taillefer of Angouleme.  Her paternal grandparents were King Henry Curtmantle FitzEmpress ("Plantagenet") Plantagenet II of England and Princess Eleanor of Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Aymer Taillefer of Angouleme and Alice de Courtenay. She had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Richard and Joan.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Richard, Hugh, William and Joan.  She died at the age of 60 on April 13th, 1275 in Montargis Abbey, France.
