Humbert, known as "the Fat", was born about 1062 in Savoy, France.  "the Fat"'s father was Amadeus de Maurienne II and his mother is Johanna of Geneva.  His paternal grandfather was Count Oddone de Maurienne and his paternal grandmother is Adelais Suza; his maternal grandparents were Count Gerald de Geneva II and Gisela de Burgundy.  He was an only child.  He died on October 17th, 1103.  He was buried on October 19th, 1103.

‌"the Fat" and Gisele were married in a religious ceremony in 1090.  They had a son and two daughters, named Amadeus, Adelaide and Agnes.
