Edward was born on April 25th, 1284 in Caernarvon Castle, Caernarvon, Caernarvonshire, Wales.  Edward's father was King Edward ("Longshanks") Plantagenet I of England and his mother was Princess Eleanor of Castile.  His paternal grandparents were King Henry Plantagenet III of England and Queen Eleanor Berenger of Provence; his maternal grandparents were King Ferdinand ("the Saint") III of Castile & Läeon and Joan Dammartin. He had three sisters named Eleanor, Joan and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers named "of Brotherton" and "of Woodstock".  He died  due to murdered at the age of 43 on September 21st, 1327 in Berkeley Castle, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England.  He was buried on December 20th, 1327 in Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucestershire, England.


Edward's family with Princess Isabella ("the she-wolf") of France

‌Edward and "the she-wolf" were married in a religious ceremony on January 25th, 1308 in Boulogne Cathedral, Pas-De-Calais, France.  They had a son named Edward.
